Why Gastroenterology with Dr. Eugene Verkhovsky?

Dr. Verkhovsky is a Board-Certified Internist and Gastroenterologist with Arizona Digestive Health in Glendale. He is extensively trained in diagnosing and managing a broad range of gastrointestinal and liver diseases. He performs upper endoscopies and colonoscopies in diagnosing, screening, surveillance and routine therapeutics of gastrointestinal diseases and cancers. In addition to having subspecialized training during his general fellowship in all major aspects of gastrointestinal and liver disease, he also underwent additional focused training in irritable bowel, reflux, swallowing, and defecatory diseases through the motility society. He is fluent in English and Russian. He is a member of multiple national GI societies, including the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastroenterological Association.

Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?

Digestive health is a broad and fascinating area of medicine. Whether it’s cancer prevention through endoscopy or finding the right diagnosis and therapy to treat issues that many struggle with but have been reluctant to discuss, I enjoy all aspects of the rapidly evolving field of gastroenterology.

Do you have a specialty of interest in Gastroenterology?

I have an interest and experience in all areas of gastroenterology and hepatology. I also have additional training in functional gastrointestinal disorders.
